Nib is a time tracker made by one person. It has no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking pixels. Nothing you put into it is sold, shared, or used to train anything. This page explains what is actually stored and why.
What Nib stores
Only what the app needs in order to be a time tracker:
- Your account — the email address you sign in with.
- Your work — clients, projects, hourly rates, time entries, invoices, and any documents you attach to a client or project.
- Your settings — your rounding policy, tax rate, and the payment details you want printed on an invoice.
There is no location tracking, no contact-list access, no microphone or camera access, and no behavioural profile of how you use the app.
Where it lives
Your data is stored in Supabase (Postgres, hosted on Amazon Web Services), which acts as Nib's backend and is the only third party that processes it. Every row is protected by row-level security keyed to your account, which means the database itself refuses to hand your data to anyone else — that isn't a policy, it's an enforced rule.
The app also keeps a copy on your own device so it keeps working when you lose signal. Signing out clears it.
Who can see it
You. That's the list. Nib has no team features, no shared workspaces, and no admin console that reads customer data. I can see aggregate, non-identifying operational information — error reports and the like — and I need database access to keep the service running, but I don't read your entries, and there's no reason I ever would.
Your data would only be disclosed if the law compelled it, and I'd tell you unless legally barred from doing so.
Deleting your data
You can delete any client, project, entry, or invoice from inside the app at any time. If you want the whole account gone, email hello@getnib.app and it will be deleted — the account, the rows, the attachments — within 30 days. No exit interview.
Your address is used for signing in and for password resets. If Nib ever sends anything else, it will be because you asked for it, and it will have an unsubscribe link.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what's collected or who sees it, the date at the top changes and anyone with an account gets an email. Quiet rewrites aren't the business we're in.
